What is the healing project?
The Healing Project all started when Jesse Ramirez' brother was diagnosed with Stage 4 pancreatic cancer in 2010. Jesse and his wife Isabel began spending every moment researching all the options available to treat Jesse's brother. In doing so, they came across the healing benefits of cannabis and both of them, coming from natural healing backgrounds, were eager to give it a try.
Unfortunately at the time, cannabis was not nearly as readily available as it is today, and costs were extremely prohibitive. His brother sadly passed away before they were able to put the medicinal science of the plant to use.
However, this sparked a passion in them to want to help others learn about cannabis as an option to treat an heal the body, and to save others the time and energy they put into learning about it. They began developing cannabis treatment plans that work to help put the body back into balance and heal naturally.
In 2015 they were introduced to Tino Sanchez who was looking to heal his dog Shorty who had been diagnosed with Lymphoma and had been given 8 weeks to live. With the help of cannabis, including CBD, THC, and FECO or Full Extract Cannabis Oil, Shorty went on to live another 6 years, eventually passing away in 2021 from arthritis, with veterinarian test results showing her final test levels as looking like those of a dog without cancer.
Out of these two experiences, both with very different endings thanks to Jesse and Isabel's newly found knowledge of using cannabis as medicine, The Healing Project was born. Jesse and Isabel have now made it their mission to help as many pet owners and people learn about the science of medicinal cannabis and to save you the time and stress of trying to piece all the information together yourself so you can spend time with your dog.
